3RD GRADE: Landscapes

 Landscapes Presentation : Introduces vocabulary, covers the entire unit 

Activities:

-As a class, we compiled a list of natural and manmade features of landscapes on the board. Students then had to draw a landscape in their notebooks and must include AND label 5 natural features and 3 manmade features. 

-Pictionary: Students take turns drawing the vocabulary words (bridge, river, village, etc.) and the other students guess

-Hangman: Students guess letters to spell the vocabulary words 

-Map Hunt: Teams compete to find certain landmarks the fastest on a map (River, bay, ocean, mountain range)

-Jeopardy Review of the Unit

-Vocabulary Memory Game
